What Kind Of Bird Is Hot Pink?

May 05

My friend Susan and I went over to this cute boutique in Orlando (Sweet Boutique) during lunch last week to look for a dress for her to the AAF 4th District ADDY Awards. Unfortunately we came up short, but I did find these amazing earrings.

In the past, I’ve not been too impressed with the feather/peacock movement in fashion — but whatever bird these feathers came from is hot in my book.  Check out the pics below for the bird in action — and my friend Jim Clark’s Company (who joins me in the pic)

Pink Inkling on Etsy

So, some of you know I have been getting back into sewing. I used to make bags and purses during high school — but since I moved to Florida, I didn’t have a machine. I sucked it up and bought one about 4 months ago and have been sewing small projects on the weekends, in my spare time (literally).

I have had this pattern for a cute business card holder, and have just not gotten around to making it because the pattern looked tough (and I suck at sewing curves). But…last weekend I did it — and it’s super cute. Check it out below. Stay tuned on Etsy (or maybe this local store we have in Orlando called Sweet Boutique). My Esty name is Pink Inkling. (Just bookmark the link – there’s nothing there yet)
