I was in Cleveland eating Bacon Ice Cream (my new favorite flavor by the way).

From there, I spent several more days in Cleveland making sangria as promised in my previous blogs.  I have a new skill for my resume, FYI.

From there, I ate a giant rice krispie…

…followed by 1/2 a giant crab cake sandwich from Melt.

And that was Cleveland.

Oh, and mom graduated with a degree in Psychology.  I’m just waiting for her to get her prescription pad.  Congrats, Ma!

Since I was in the hometown of my favoritest person in the world, my handsome colleague Michael Alberici, (all be it the airport) I decided to ask if I should do anything in particular.  Without hesitating, he said crabfries at Chickie’s and Pete’s.  They really have nothing to do with crab, but do come with this awesome white sauce.

Did I mention that I also was drinking Sam Adams Summer, and it was soooo good.  My new favorite, after Cherry Wheat of course.

After another up and down flight, I arrived in Cleveland where my favorite brother picked me up.  Then took me to my favorite place in Cleveland, The Store.  This is where we buy my favorite scratch-off tickets.  (It was already a day of favorites) I only gamble in Cleveland, and The Store usually has all the winners.  So far I am down $11 with nothing to show.

SNEAK PREVIEW: Tonight, I get to go to Lola, a Michael Simon restaurant.  I love love love Michael Simon, and my brother, Jason, mentioned I can get bacon ice cream. Yes, be jealous.

Oh, and this is the stupendous Linda Ong, who thinks she looks like a boy in this picture — but I am happy to have seen her and don’t agree whatsoever. Look at those ridiculously amazing eyebrows.

I did happen to find a pair of glasses that were simply too big for me, which I thought could never happen. No, I didn’t buy them, although I was tempted.

I also learned that espresso (or expresso as Becca calls it) is best when served Shakerato.  It makes an awesome mousse-like texture that Meg was super not a fan of.

After that, we went to a cute little wine bar that had 2-for-one ANY wines, and I found an amazing one called Torrontes: Avenue, Mendoza (Argentina 2007).

After that, we had great sushi at this place we think was called Sushi Park, or was bought by someone then names blablabla Sushi Park.   Then, in efforts to get my Brooklyn 4 Life badge on Foursquare, we went to another bar in Brooklyn (no badge as of yet), and met some chick from Ohio who LOVED my Barbie jacket — thus making me feel awesome as since I’ve been in NYC, I’ve felt a significant lack of style.

Also, on the way home from sushi, the girls let me take the lead in directing the cab — and it really made me feel like a Brooklyn Girl.  I didn’t even get us lost!

Goodbye NYC, hello Cleveland (tomorrow).  Can’t wait to make it back here.

We started the day with delicious lunch at Delicatessen where they have something called a Zen Martini.  All I know is that it had something to do with cucumbers, and it was epic.

After that, we made our way deeper through the monsoon that was happening outside to get some retail therapy at Top Shop.  Becca describes this place like H&M on crack, however I found it hard to buy anything seeing that I would be wearing it Orlando, not the fashion capital of the US.  Here’s a brief little fashion show from Joshua though.  I was extremely intrigued by the shirt entitled…How Low Can You Go.  Guess which one below it was…

We went back to Dos Caminos, which has this spicy guac which was the shit. And, sangria made the way it’s supposed to be with Brandy and Triplesec, although I’ll use Grand Ma when making it at home.

And this last pic is for my friend, Tiffany, who has an adorable bulldog named Lola.  These were all over Top Shop. Today’s my last day in NYC, then headed to Cleveland tomorrow.  Hopefully I can make those blogs as exciting as these.  Something makes me think not, though. Farewell for now.

Anyway, I got some amazing vintagey and asian-inspired fabrics that you will see in execution later on after I get back home. While at Mood, Becca decided she wanted to make some chokers out of trimmings, and we of course had to try them all on.

Then we walked through times square for the obligatory “I’m in Times Square” photo. Since we happened to be right across from Sephora, we did that for about an hour then proceeded to my new favorite part of NY — Williamsburg.

We had an amazing dinner of sangria made with Cava, cheese and more cheese. My sandwich came with something the restaurant (Blackbird) calls Beet Tzatziki, but it didn’t taste much like beets. So, instead it was the perfect shade of pink — making that my standard for all tzatziki in my life moving forward.

Oh, and by the way — thank you Joshua Darling for posting the link to your network, because I reached an ALL TIME HIGH of 50 visitors yesterday.

Anyway, I also got to experience a photoshoot from the beautiful and famous Joshua Darling at Coney Island. The only memory I have of Coney Island is from the movie Uptown Girl — but it was amazing.

We finished the day out with some of the best 4-cheese, thin crust pizza — where one of the cheeses was bleu. Amazing.

Lastly. the evening is ending with dirty martinis…no, I mean REALLY dirty, back door martinis — and Dream Phone. Does life get much better?

The day has been amazing so far including a fabulous Lindsaterian approved picnic and sunning at Prospect Park. Who’d have thought I’d left Orlando, went to New York and come back with a tan.

Adding to the amazing day, I saw this girl – in a dress – and heels – on a bike, and I think she’s amazing. Just thought I’d share.

Needless to say, I was so over the issue that I just ignored it…until I could not ignore it any longer.  That day happened to be yesterday, the 5th of May.  And what happens on this day? Everything syncs perfectly.

So, from this day forward, May 5th will be referred to as Synco de Mayo.

I am very sorry for neglecting you for the past 3 months, allowing spam comments to collect in your CMS, have visitors visit you to only think you’re a part of the statistic of blogs that get created and then forgotten.  I am very sorry for that.

Dear Readers… (all five ten of you out there)

I have a very important update for you.  When I started this blog, I thought I would just write about office supplies, and other pink items, and life would be great.  Well, made apparent by my neglect — not the greatest idea.  If you continue to follow my blog, or even visit from time to time, prepare yourself to see all that is me.  It may be office supplies, PR rants, social media talk, chihuahua outings, Barbie, makeup and more.

When I started Pink Ink, I thought of it as a pink pen.  Now I am thinking of Pink Ink more literally, in a way, where it is a pen full of pink ink writing my story, sharing my personal brand and life with all of you.  I hope you enjoy.

I’m not gonna lie, mom’s not always right on the bulls-eye with gift giving for me…which is understandable considering I have lived many states away for about 5 years now.  So when I saw a large box arrive in my cubicle this morning, I got to thinking it wasn’t a check.

After opening the box and card, it was clear mom took some extra time this year and bought me 25 fun and special gifts for my 25th bday.  I thought it was only appropriate that I take a comparable amount of time saying “thanks” and sharing my awesome gifts with all of you.

Not sure if mom was reading my blog, or squeezing my bro & sis-in-law for info…but she was right on with MOST of the gifts.  I also feel the need to point out how she wrapped every piece (something I like to do when giving gifts) just because unwrapping stuff is fun.
