But you're right, when you have a stack of papers, the clips can be quite fickle and fly off at any second. Binder clips are pretty cool, except when you have the really big ones that WON'T OPEN. They hurt my fingers when they snap back. This makes me angry. Teeny-tiny binder clips, on the other hand, are heavenly. I stole some from a fellow teacher once (didn't really *steal* them... she gave me some papers held together by these clips, and I kept them... she never asked for them back, but somehow I always felt they should have been returned. For my work, they really come in handy, but I don't really use them in the traditional way. I use them for various things around the store. For actual paper-clipping, I too prefer binder clips.
