I HATE PAPERCLIPS!
As some of you know, my first blog referenced that I hate paper clips. I would like to amend that and say that I loathe paper clips. Many of my readers and tweeple have asked, “Why do you hate paper clips?” So, let me count the ways…
-When you have a stack of papers, all in paper-clipped groups — they don’t keep the pages together.
-Even when you put the clips on the sides — things don’t stay together much better.
-They aren’t cute.
-Even the colored paper clips, that are a bit cuter than the standard, don’t hold anything together. The vinyl coating makes them suck.
-Microsoft word’s help function, that doesn’t help anyone is a paper clip.
Staples keep everything together so much better, and even more awesome that staples are binder clips. I LOVE BINDER CLIPS. They serve so many purposes, and come in a billion different sizes. My favorite ones are super tiny. Our old receptionist once ordered them by accident, and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

I guess I’m pretty ambivalent about paper clips. For my work, they really come in handy, but I don’t really use them in the traditional way. I use them for various things around the store. For actual paper-clipping, I too prefer binder clips. Love, love them!
I wouldn’t say I hate paper clips, but I don’t care for ‘em very much either. I LOVE binder clips.
Paper clips serve a purpose: they keep each class period’s work separate. But you’re right, when you have a stack of papers, the clips can be quite fickle and fly off at any second.
Binder clips are pretty cool, except when you have the really big ones that WON’T OPEN. They hurt my fingers when they snap back. This makes me angry.
Teeny-tiny binder clips, on the other hand, are heavenly. I stole some from a fellow teacher once (didn’t really *steal* them… she gave me some papers held together by these clips, and I kept them… she never asked for them back, but somehow I always felt they should have been returned. But they were not). I still have them. They make me happy when I look at them, because they are so cute and pretty.
